All Time Low is a pop punk band from Lutherville-Timonium, Maryland. The video clip for their latest single Weightless, from the album Nothing Personal, is pretty awesome. The song isn’t exactly my taste, but I came across it on MTV this morning.
In this particular video the thoughts of the people in the room pop up right beside them. The graphic design is very well done. It reminds me of the way tv shows like Heroes and Fringe use text inside scenes, not on top of them.
Ikea Heights is a melodrama shot entirely in the Burbank California Ikea Store without the store knowing.
That’s the summary written on the series’ main page. It actually sums up the contents of the site and initiative very accurately. Ikea Heights as an internet soap shot in an Ikea store in Burbank, CA. The actors are all amateurs and the camera work isn’t very professional too. But it all looks very funny and the idea is good.
The Ikea ‘rooms’ in the store want to make you feel at home and are therefore completely furbished. The step to record a play or soap isn’t such a big one after all. The most fun part is that, it seems, the store owners do not know people shoot a serie of videos in their store.
A man finds the wishlist he had made as a kid while searching for something in the garage. It takes him down the memory lane and he recalls the events like sleeping on the top bunk, having his art work misunderstood, performing in a school play etc which led him to make the list. In present he is seen to strike off two items from his wishlist, leaving “be the hero” and “be an astronaut” for the future.

British singer/songwriter David Gray recently released a video for his new single Fugitive. The song will be featured on David’s latest record Draw the Line.
Both video and song are exceptional. The song is a little more uplifting and uptempo than the avarage David Gray song. The drums are very present, and draw your attention immediately.
The video shows David playing the song in a room with his guitar and piano. Around him drawings appear and disappear on the walls, as well as on his piano. The concept gives a whole new meaning to graffiti.
Oren Lavie is a singer/songwriter from Israel. The video for his song “Her Morning Elegance” is a beautiful stop motion film, starring Oren himself and Israeli actress Shir Shomron. I came across this video a while ago, but just thought of it. This stop motion video is situated on a bed, filmed from above.
Some additional information from Daily Inspiration:
Filming was shot over two days in the studio of Tel Aviv photographer Eyal Landesman. The video is made up of 3225 still photos shot using one camera hanging from the ceiling for the main body of the movie. An animated computer generated storyboard for the video, using 3D dummies, was produced over the four weeks before filming started.
More information on Oren Lavie can be found on his MySpace.
